Climber Mug with Crimp Pinch Hold

Instead of having a handle like a normal mug, this crimp pinch hold mug is sculpted to look like a rock surface and requires the drinker to pinch the hold, in a similar way to holding a rock handhold on a crag or indoor gym climbing wall.

Designed by Los Angles-based collective Homew, the Crimp Pinch Mug is hand blown in one of China’s oldest glassware areas.

The Crimp Pinch Hold is designed to be lifted by anyone, regardless of how much climbing experience they have, but still requires a good pinch and therefore helps build strength in your fingers. It is heavy, weighs 1.25 pounds empty and 1.9 pounds while fully loaded with your favorite drink.

This climber mug is not officially graded for difficulty, but the difficulty varies depending on your hands condition. When your hands are dry, hold this mug is easy even for a kid, but when your hands are wet or sweaty, it's hard even for a professional climber. Imagine you wake up in the morning and have a hot tea with it, it's like a burning hell.
